Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan recently shared an intriguing memory involving the legendary singer Michael Jackson during an episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) season 16. While speaking with Padma Shree awardees, Dr. Abhay and Dr. Rani Bang, Amitabh recounted his unexpected encounter with Michael Jackson in New York. Rani, a fan of the iconic singer, mentioned that she knew about Amitabh’s meeting with Jackson and asked him to describe the experience.
Amitabh revealed that while staying at a hotel in New York, he once heard a knock at his door. To his astonishment, when he opened it, he found Michael Jackson standing outside. Amitabh, initially stunned, kept his composure as Jackson asked if it was his room, realizing soon after that he had mistakenly come to the wrong door. Despite the confusion, Michael later sent someone to connect with Amitabh, and the two eventually had a conversation. Amitabh described Jackson as incredibly humble despite his global fame.
He went on to share another incident where he attended one of Michael Jackson’s shows in the U.S. It was a challenging journey from New York to the venue, and upon arrival, Amitabh and his group found out that all 350 hotel rooms were booked for Jackson and his team. However, after persistent efforts, they secured seats at the back of the stadium and witnessed the electrifying performance. Amitabh was mesmerized by Jackson’s talent, especially his singing and dancing, describing the atmosphere in the arena as magical, with thunderous applause echoing throughout.
Michael Jackson, known as the King of Pop, left a lasting legacy through his contributions to music, dance, and philanthropy. He passed away in 2009, but his influence on popular culture remains profound. Kaun Banega Crorepati season 16 continues to air at 9 pm on Sony Entertainment Television.
