Kavita Kaushik On Man Asking For Money From Sonu Sood Via 'Promoted Tweet'; 'For The Sake Of Humanity, Wish It's Untrue'
Sonu Sood is doing the good work of transporting migrants to their hometown amidst Coronavirus lockdown to his best capacity. However, it seems, some are misusing this deed of his to make monetary gain. Kavita Kaushik raised concern.
Ever since the lockdown has begun in India due to the Coronavirus pandemic, migrants in cities are facing a hard time. They want to travel to their hometown, but with no means available, they are forced to walk miles. In such times, actor Sonu Sood turned a real-life hero for the migrants and arranged for transportation for a few migrants to travel to their hometown to be safe. The actor who is now being hailed as the Messiah of Migrants received a lot of praise on social media for his good work. However, it seems some people are misusing his name to make monetary gains.
Actress Kavita Kaushik raised concern over the same as she replied to a tweet that had a screenshot of a migrant asking for Rs 35,000 from Sonu Sood. The tweet which was promoted suggesting that it was a campaign has now been deleted. Replying to this, Kavita wrote, "For the sake of humanity, citizen's love, hope and faith I wish this isn't true, but if it is then the uproar against the betrayal should be stronger than the love accumulated."
Soon, Sonu Sood took to his Twitter handle and stated that all the services he is providing are free and he even warned netizens about people asking for donation in his name. He asked netizens to report the person to the police. (Friends, whatever service we are doing for the workers is absolutely free. If any person asks you for money after taking my name, then refuse and immediately report to us or to the nearest police officer.)"
