Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2: Karan Singh Grover Aka Mr. Bajaj Says He Can't Dare To Copy Ronit Roy

Fans of Dil Mil Gaye know TV actor Karan Singh Grover as the romantic hero Dr. Armaan- his most popular role on TV till date. After the medical drama, Karan Singh Grover was seen in Qubool Hai along with Surbhi Jyoti. However, after KSG got married to Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu, he wasn’t seen around much on television and was missed by his fans.

Karan Singh Grover is back to the television scene as he steps into the shoes of Ronit Roy’s iconic character Mr. Bajaj. The actor had a tall order to fill, as Ronit Roy’s portrayal has set a benchmark for the actor. However, Karan Singh Grover is unfazed by the challenge and says that he has brought his own interpretation to the act.  While talking to Mid-Day, the actor said, “No one in the industry can play Mr Bajaj the way Ronit Roy did, and I won't even dare to copy that. It wouldn't be wise to do so. I have tried to add layers to my character. Mr Bajaj is always living on the edge, but we know that he is not heartless."

Kasautii Zindagii Kay marks the actor’s return to the TV screen after six long years and he is glad to have returned to the familiar surroundings and also admits that he has changed for the better in the industry. He adds, "Everything is more organised now. People have evolved and are trying to be more efficient in all departments."

In the interim, he did feature in a couple of Bollywood movies such as Alone, Hate Story 3 etc. However, he couldn’t really make a mark and his movies failed to do well at the box office.
