Karan Mehra's Wife Nisha Rawal Says She Has Bipolar Disorder: ‘I Am Not A Psycho, It Is A Mood Disorder’
Actress Nisha Rawal, who has filed a case of domestic violence against her estranged husband, actor Karan Mehra admitted that she has ‘bipolar disorder’. While speaking at a press conference, Nisha made the shocking revelation about herself. Karan Mehra who was arrested and later released on bail on Tuesday had said in an interview that his estranged wife has ‘bipolar disorder’. The actor claimed that Nisha has “mood swings and a violent streak”. He also said she would throw things and often hit herself and others.

According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, during a press conference, Nisha Rawal said that Karan Mehra has been abusive. Reacting to Karan’s claims of her having ‘bipolar disorder’, Nisha said she was diagnosed with it in 2014 after she had suffered a miscarriage. She added, "Bipolar is a mood disorder which happens due to extreme trauma and it’s genetic sometimes. I was diagnosed with bipolarity and I am not going to lie about it as I am not ashamed about it. But I am not a psycho, it is a mood disorder. And you all know how balanced I am. I create content for the web, I make videos and write about things. I don’t have to prove anything.”

Nisha Rawal recalled the sad time when she was 5 months pregnant and lost her child. The actress continued, “In September 2014, I was 5 months pregnant and I lost my child. Recently, I made a Mom’s group where women who lost their child can speak up about it as when I lost my child I did not have anyone to talk to about the loss.” Nisha narrated her ordeal of how Karan Mehra would beat her up, abused her and was unavailable for her. She shared, “In the middle of it my husband was beating me up, abusing me, he was unavailable, totally detached and that’s when I went to a therapist. In fact, Karan had stopped me from going to a therapist, he didn’t let me go to a gym, he was very controlling in everything.”

The actress explained the happenings on the night of May 31 when she filed the domestic violence complaint. Nisha said, “I lashed out on him about all the feelings that I had bottled up. We spoke and he was visibly upset. When I got up to leave the room, he held my hair and pushed me against the wall. Nisha Rawal and Karan Mehra have made several allegations against each other. The estranged couple are parents to a son, Kavish.
