June 2017 – Kapil Sharma reaches Film City to shoot with
Paresh Rawal, who had come to The Kapil Sharma Show to promote Guest Iin
London. Before the shoot begins, the host complains of uneasiness and is rushed
to the hospital.

July 2017: Kapil is rushed to the hospital after he
faints on-the-sets right before shooting an episode with Jab Harry Met
Sejal's Imtiaz Ali and Shah Rukh Khan.

July 2017: The
comedian drops unconscious on-the-sets of The Kapil Sharma Show and is rushed
to Kokilaben hospital (Andheri West). Team Mubarakan – Anil Kapoor and Arjun
Kapoor –return without shooting.

August 2017: Arjun Rampal and Aishwarya Rajesh are pepped
up to promote their upcoming film, Daddy, on the platform, but Kapil turns up
at the venue saying he is feeling uneasy and wouldn’t be able to shoot the
proceedings.

August 2017: Kapil Sharma fails to turn up on time to
shoot with Team Baadshaho – Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Ileana D’Cruz and Esha

This is the timeline of the stars Kapil Sharma has kept
waiting citing one reason or the other over the past two months. While most
were health related, but in the time of mobile phones, how difficult is
communicating in time? Plus, doesn’t the comedian have a team managing him? Why
not coordinate with them in time?
THIS IS JUST NOT DONE!
Furthermore, at this point of time, the BIG question is –
Why is the broadcaster Sony allowing this to happen? Why are they not
intervening?
It has been established that The Kapil Sharma Show no
longer enjoys the fan following it used to. The TRPs are constantly dipping –
the past few weeks have been particularly disappointing with the show failing
to find a spot in the Top 20, forget Top 10.
The comedy show’s humour, which was the staple for
several families as they sat together at the end of the day, has suffered a hit
as well. From situational jokes, they have now moved on to slapstick – outright
boredom.
The creative back-end of the once-popular show too has
left its side with many choosing to work in Krushna Abhishek-starrer The Drama
Company.
Most importantly, the show lost its sheen with the exit
of Sunil Grover, Ali Asgar, Sugandha Mishra and Upasana Singh. The brand value
of The Kapil Sharma Show has taken such a hit that despite introducing Bharti
Singh and re-introducing Chandan Prabhakar, it still hasn’t been able to lure
audiences.
Yesterday, a shooting schedule with the Poster Boys cast
members Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Shreyas Talpade was cancelled by the film's
producers for fear of suffering a similar fate as Kapil's previous guests.
It is clear that Bollywood has now sent out a signal to
Sony that they are not sure whether they should visit The Kapil Sharma Show.
Why is Sony not taking any steps to avoid such recurring
mishaps? Why is Kapil Sharma not being pulled up?
Isn’t a lot at stake? Over to you, Sony.
