Kanwar Dhillon: 'Don't Want To Play Negative Roles Anymore, I Am Here To Be A Hero'- EXCLUSIVE
Kanwar Dhillon is all set to make a comeback on TV after his show Internet Wala Love went off air in 2019. The actor played an antagonist there and managed to grab a lot of eyeballs. However, he is in no mood to play a negative role again and wants to play a hero.

In an exclusive conversation with SpotboyE.com, Kanwar reveals his reason for not taking up a negative role which was offered to him a while back. ALSO READ: Piya Rangrezz Actor Kanwar Dhillon Fractures His Ankle, Advised Month-Long Bed Rest

Kanwar told us, "Since 2013 have done back to back shows. This is the first time I am doing a comeback after a gap of two years. As an actor I was greedy and bored by doing that main lead sweet boy role. So, I wanted to experiment and that's when my last show 'Internet Wala Love' happened where I played a negative character. But I think in television people get you typecast on a specific genre very easily. They start slotting you in that category. I started getting calls for only negative roles because my character of Samrat Mittal got a lot of eyeballs on me.  For example Ranveer Singh can do Allaudin Khilji and then he switches back to play the protagonist but in television, they don't let you experiment. So, it was my conscious effort to wait and do something which actually excites me. I would not like to do negative again, it was a good experience but I am happy being a hero. I am here to be a hero." ALSO READ: Shiny Doshi And Kinshuk Mahajan Starrer Pandya Store To Replace Lockdown Ki Love Story From This Date-EXCLUSIVE

Kanwar also accepts the fact that it is difficult to get yourself registered after a gap between viewers, "Things are definitely difficult. But again it was not a gap by choice. I was busy shooting for a project and then my injury happened because of which everything went for a toss. And since the gap has already happened. I thought why not wait and see what excites me. I just did a music video in between."

Kanwar will now play a Gujrati Businessman on Star Plus' newly launched Pandya Stores and is quite excited for it, "I have seen a few glimpses of the Tamil version of the show. And have seen the character which I am going to play and that has already made me excited. This show had all the reasons for me to say yes."
