Kamya Panjabi Calls Nashik Oxygen Leak Tragedy Shameful; Kavita Kaushik Backs Saying 'Only If The Statues And Temples Could Admit Patients'
Kamya Panjabi and Kavita Kaushik recently shared their views on Nashik Oxygen leak incident that reportedly killed 24 people
With increasing cases of Coronavirus, India is reportedly having a tough time providing oxygen to those in need. Amidst this, a tanker carrying oxygen leaked outside a hospital in Nashik. The situation reportedly led to the death of 24 patients in the hospital. Many social media users have taken to their respective account to express shock over the incident. Television actresses Kamya Panjabi and Kavita Kaushik too shared their views on the same.
The Shakti: Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki actress wrote, "It’s a shame that in 21stcentury a developing country like India lost 22 lives in a hospital due to interrupted Oxygen supply. Like really?? Covid gave us 1 yr then why did india not invest on healthcare infrastructure?" Retweeting this, FIR actress Kavita Kaushik tweeted, "Only if the statues and temples could admit patients!" Both the actresses are pretty active on social media and often share their views on issues affecting all.
Post the incident, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi too took to his Twitter handle to write, "The tragedy at a hospital in Nashik because of oxygen tank leakage is heart-wrenching. Anguished by the loss of lives due to it. Condolences to the bereaved families in this sad hour."
