Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal Demands A Public APOLOGY From Asit Modi; Says, ‘If I Was Problematic Why Did They Tolerate Me For So Long?’
Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal has now questioned why the makers of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah brought her back on the show if she had always been problematic towards the cast
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of the longest running shows on Indian television. Having entertained the audience for over 15 years, the makers of the show are currently making the headlines for mistreating their actors. Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, who has been on the forefront, accused producer Asit Kumarr Modi, operation head Sohail Ramani and executive producer Jatin Bajaj of sexual and mental harassment over a month ago.
On Monday, an FIR was registered by the Powai police against the makers under sections 354 and 509 (assault or criminal force to a woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the IPC (Indian Penal Code). While Modi went on to deny all the allegations in an interview with Aaj Tak, Jennifer expressed her wish to receive a public apology from the makers of the show. Quoted by News18, she said, “If I was so problematic why did they tolerate me for so long? Why was I brought back on the show after Dilkush left it. I want a public apology from them. Why Sohil contradicted his own statement- firstly I'm abusive etc, then I am his close friend.”
For the unversed, following her example actresses Priya Ahuja Rajda, Monika Bhadoriya and former director Malav Rajda too opened up about the injustice they had to face at the hands of the makers of the show.
