Indian Idol 12: Yuvraj Medhe's Journey From Being An On-Set Sweeper To Becoming The Singing Show's Contestant Is Super Inspiring
The popular singing reality show - Indian Idol - is all set to come back with its 12th edition. Well, it goes without saying that Indian Idol has given a platform to many aspiring singers with no musical background, purely on the basis of their talent and this year too, we won't be deprived of that. Ahead of Indian Idol 12's grand premiere, a clip of its contestant named Yuvraj Medhe is doing the rounds on social media and it has successfully moved everyone, inclusive the show's judges, to tears. The 26-year-old, during his audition, reveals how before making it as a contestant, he was associated with Indian Idol as a sweeper.

Yuvraj stated that he used to work as a sweeper and also helped in setting up the stage. Further, he stated that singing has been his passion since childhood; however, he couldn't gather the confidence to get on the stage, until now. “I have been working on the set of 'Indian Idol' for the past three to four years. My friends were working there. I did sweeping and helped in setting up the place," said Yuvraj to IANS. He added, "I didn't have the confidence to participate in the show earlier and showcase my talent. I used to make my friends listen to my songs."

Further, referring to former winner Sunny Hindustani, Yuvraj continued, "They would like my voice and they encouraged me to participate. They said 'if a shoe shiner can come here and win, then you can do it too'."

Opening up on his parents' reaction, the singer added, "I never thought that I would get an opportunity to sing on such a big platform. I am very happy. People are calling me up and sending messages. My parents are also very happy. I got the golden ticket in the first round. There are lots of talented singers here. All are masters in singing. I learn a lot from them."
