After Making A Guest Appearance On Indian Idol 12 Singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya Slams Reality Show Judges In General; Says 'They Use Contestants, they Aren't Judges'
In the recent past, one reality show that has become a hot topic is Indian Idol 12. The singing reality show has come under the scanner and has been embroiled in controversies. Veteran singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya who graced the show as a guest has spoken up against reality TV shows in general in one of his recent interviews. The singer who appeared on the singing reality show as a guest judge spoke his mind regarding reality shows in general. He thinks the judges on many reality shows barely have experience in the music industry as well as haven’t contributed to it as well.

He also refused to share screen space with certain judges hence he was missing from some scenes in the TV reality show. In conversation with Bollywood Spy, he said, "I told them, I am not asking for work, I am asking for what is rightfully mine. People work under me. I am the employer. They call people who've sung four songs in their life. You make those people judges who haven't served the music. They are only commercial. They've given hit songs, but they haven't given music anything."

He further assured the makers wouldn’t have called legendary artist such as RD Burman to the show if he would have been alive. He adds, "If RD Burman were alive today, they wouldn't have called him. They don't give me awards. That's the similarity between me, RD Burman, and Kishore Kumar -- no one recognises us three greats... These fools expose themselves by ignoring me."

Speaking about the old songs being remixed he doesn’t hold the singers responsible as they are not even paid Rs. 500.  ALSO READ: Indian Idol 12: Kumar Sanu On Amit Kumar’s Criticism Of Kishore Kumar Special Episode: ‘I Think Whatever He Said Was His Personal Viewpoint’

Sharing his concerns with Anu Malik and Manoj Muntashir, he asked them, "Is this is a joke?" as they too acknowledged it. He said, "They said, 'Dada, we've made a big mistake'. I am the real judge, not those who promote themselves, their songs, their albums, themselves; not the contestants. They use contestants; they aren't judges."

As Abhijeet says it all out loud that he wanted to say, he feels it was important as judges like him deserve to be part of the reality shows.  ALSO READ: Indian Idol 12: Judge Abhijeet Bhattacharya Gives Arunita Kanjilal A Token Of Appreciation; Gifts Her A Sweet Surprise After Her Performance
