India’s Best Dancer 3: Sudha Chandran Recalls Her Father Standing By Her After She Lost Her Legs; Says, ‘He Promised Me, I Will Walk With You’
Veteran television actress and dancer Sudha Chandran enjoys a huge fan following because of her versatile performances. Over the years, she has become a role model for many aspiring women. Despite losing her right leg in an accident at the age of 16, she never let it become a hindrance in life. She went on to achieve great heights in her career with the support of her parents. She will be gracing the sets of India’s Best Dancer 3, for a Ladies Special segment on the show during the upcoming weekend.

Contestant Debparna Goswami and her choreographer Tarun Raj Nihalani will perform an amazing act narrating her life’s journey which will leave everyone teary-eyed. They will receive a standing ovation from everyone for their powerful dance on the songs 'Nachdi Phira' and 'Ya Devi Sarvabhuteshu'. Moved by the performance, the actress will gift them an idol of Natraj and a pair of ghungroo. She will go down the memory lane and recall that whatever she has achieved is because of her father. Talking about her challenging journey, the 57-year-old revealed that she has always been very proud of being a woman as ‘nari shakti bohot hi khatarnaak hai.’ She went on to heap praises on Debparna and shared that she saw her father in the performance. Quoted by Pinkvilla, she recalled her father walking into the hospital room when the doctors had informed her that she will lose her legs. She said, “I remember after the accident when doctors told me, ‘You will lose your leg,’ my father walked into the room and said, ‘I will be your leg.’ And I asked him - ‘till when, can you give me some guarantee.’ He then promised me, saying, ‘I will walk with you till the day you become successful and reach the peaks of success’ and he kept his promise.”

For the unversed, the current season of India’s Best Dancer season 3 sees Geeta Kapur, Terence Lewis and Sonali Bendre as the judges. Hosted by Jay Bhanushali, the show airs on Sony Entertainment Television.
