IN PICS: Govinda, Bharti Singh attend Krushna’s Dad’s Funeral

The TV fraternity reacted in shock as they woke up to the news of Krushna Abhishek’s father Atmaprakash Sharma’s sudden death yesterday morning (Krushna Abhishek’s Father Passes Away, Aug 26). Sharma, who had been battling against cancer for long, breathed his last at his Mumbai residence. He had celebrated his 75th birthday only a week ago.

The cremation took place yesterday evening at the Versova crematorium. Many B-Town celebs turned up to console Krushna and his actress-sister Aarti Singh. Karan Singh Grover and comedienne Bharti Singh were among those who attended the last rites. Bharti, who co-hosts Comedy Nights Bachao with Krushna, looked extremely disturbed and emotional. Krushna’s CNB co-star Sudesh Lehri was also present at the crematorium. We also spotted Neelam Kothari and Samir Soni comforting the family.

Among family, Krushna and Aarti’s maternal uncle Govinda came with his son Yashvardhan. The siblings’ cousin, TV actress Ragini Khanna, was also there. Krushna’s wife Kashmera was seen attending to the guests.
