Ekta Kapoor Loses Naagin 2 Director, Blame it on Rajat Tokas
It's a sad state of affairs. Tantrum King Rajat Tokas fired a salvo 'My way or the highway'. Star Plus bowed down to his diktat. Colors and the Queen of Soaps had to bear the brunt. The second part of a mighty successful series will have a new captain
Ekta Kapoor and director Santram Verma have a long and winning history, after all he has helmed many episodes of her most popular shows including Kyunki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kasautii Zindagi Kay, Kahiin To Hoga and the latest hit Naagin. So, much so that he is known in the TV industry as Ekta’s lucky mascot.
Santram also has a reputation of a hard taskmaster and the latest TV actor to be miffed with him is Naagin’s leading man Rajat Tokas.
The two often clashed during shooting and when talks with Colors for the sequel to Naagin began, it was clear that the two wouldn't want to work together. However, Rajat was not a part of Naagin 2. So far so good.

But TV czarina had another new show coming up on Star Plus- Chandra Nandini- which has Rajat, and she summoned Verma to hold the reins.
Verma put his differences with Rajat aside and started setting up the stage for Chandra Nandini, But Rajat still hadn't let bygones be bygones.
SpotboyE.com has it that he expressed his 'Choose Verma or I' diktat to Star Plus, who in turn, informed Ekta that they wouldn't want to have Verma at the cost of losing Rajat.
Ekta went into a tizzy and Verma lost his place in Chandra Nandini. What a tragedy that a director still holds no weight in a show on Indian television, even if he is as experienced and successful as Verma.
What happened next was even more tragic. An extremely disappointed Verma trudged to Ekta's office to inform her that he wouldn't like to direct her Naagin 2 as well.
While Ekta's head is still spinning at the recent chain of events, we hear Verma has taken a good part of his team to Cinevistaa where its head honcho Siddharth Malhotra has promised him four shows.
When contacted, Verma told SpotboyE.com that he wouldn't like to talk about why he's not doing Naagin 2 but confirmed rather readily, 'I don't know how many shows I will get from Cinevistaa, but yes i am setting up the stage for my first one with them to roll very soon."
And who's directing Naagin 2? Another favourite of Ekta, Anil V Kumar, who along with Verma, helmed some episodes of hit K-shows like Kahiin Toh Hoga and Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii.
