which happened during his Tara days.
International shows have become a huge craze among
celebrities from the Television world. But it all started long back, when names
like Neena Gupta, Kanwaljit Singh, Ratna Pathak Shah, Navneet Nishaan, Benjamin
Gelani and a few more gave Indian Television its first batch of talent. The
concept of appointment viewing started with these talented actors who
entertained you and I in our living rooms every evening. They had a
fan-following and travelled across shores too for their shows. And this
shameful incident of Alok Nath happened during one such international show.
Think of it, he disgraced them all, but it was buried under the carpet. Here
goes the blow-by-blow account:
Alok Nath accompanied by his wife, Ratna Pathak Shah,
Vinta Nanda, Amita Nangia and few others from Team Tara were in Dubai for a
show, when the serial was in its hey days. While travelling back from Dubai to
Mumbai, Alok Nath got extremely drunk just before leaving for the airport. The
5 of them were seated in the flight, which got a bit delayed due to technical
reasons. So far so good except the stink that was emanating from his mouth when
he opened it.
Alok Nath Has Been Accused Of Sexual Misconduct
After a while, when the problem was solved, the pilots
walked into the flight only to face an unexpected and shocking situation. A
sloshed Alok suddenly got up from his seat, walked to one of the pilots and
slapped him, and mind you, hard.
The passengers and crew around were shocked with his
obnoxious behaviour and his team turned red in embarrassment. The cops were
immediately called and Alok was made to get off the flight.
Alok Nath’s wife (who was obviously highly ashamed of her
husband's doing) Vinta, Amita and Ratna, as a concerned team, chose to deboard
with him. They were told they cannot travel by the flight on which they were
booked and should register themselves on the next one available. The ladies
headed towards the airport, but this was not the end of their embarrassment!
They could not believe their eyes when they saw Alok Nath
heading straight to the alcohol section in the Duty Free area and making a
purchase! Not just this, he even opened one bottle and gulped down a few sips
at the airport’s waiting lounge itself, while the ladies didn't know where to
look after that.
Last night, while talking to Amita Nangia, who was a part
of this shameful scene (designed by Alok Nath), the actress confirmed the story
to the last detail and said, “Yes this happened, but frankly what could we do?”
