Disaster Strikes Comedy Nights Bachao, Viewership Drops By 22%. Did Kareena, Akshay, Hrithik & John Dig Its Grave?
High-handed, disrespectful, uncultured, crassly, impudent, uncouth... what else do you want me to say about Comedy Nights Bachao?
Clearly, Mona Singh & Co's entry has not helped the show anyway, and its rechristened title Comedy Nights Bachao Taaza looks rather contradictory.
The viewership of the show has gone down by 22 per cent since its revamp in September. Yes, you read it right! 22 PER CENT.
Take a look:

Krushna and Bharti Singh's humour is clearly not only rubbing the industry the wrong way but also not going down well with the viewers either.
Not too long ago, Kareena Kapoor turned down the invitation to make an appearance on the show. Krushna had himself told us, "Kareena said that she would prefer coming on 'Live' since she didn't want to get 'roasted'." (Krushna Abhishek: I Want To Get Kapil Sharma On My Show And ROAST Him, Sep 25, 2016).
Akshay Kumar lost his cool when his Housefull 3 co-star when Lisa Haydon was ridiculed with racist remarks. Siddharth Jadhav called her a ‘black African’. In fact, he also compared Lisa with a kangaroo since she’s from Australia.
Hrithik politely turned down the offer during the time of Mohenjo Daro and we akk knew why.
And then John (in)famously stormed out of the show's set when Krushna took a dig at his acting abilities and choice of films.

Not to forget the Parched actress Tannishtha Chatterjee who (justifiably) blew the whistle when fun was made of her skin tone. Shameful racist remarks- 'Kaali kalooti', 'Aap ko jamun bahut pasand hoga zaroor, kitna jamun khaya aapne bachpan se?'- Eeks!
In my personal opinion, if Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan and John Abraham had even participated in Comedy Nights Bachao--- the show's producer Vipul D Shah (Optimystix) and broadcaster (Colors) would still have had a lot to complain. Look at the nadir that the humour (humour really?) in the show has touched.
So, is it all over for Comedy Nights Bachao Taaza
The numbers which stared in my face were too glaring for me to give it a miss, even then:
Aur ab? Khuda Khair Kare!
