While she has made a mark with her acting chops in the entertainment industry with films like Poster Boys, Calendar Girls and Black Rose, has also been a part of popular TV shows like Kumkum Bhagya, Baal Veer, Devo Ke Dev Mahadev and more to name a few, Samikssha Batnagar made her singing debut last year with her single Tishnagi.

She said, "I had ample of time during lockdown so managed to channelize my energy into singing which I couldn't spend much time until this epidemic struck. "I'm trained in classical singing and started learning when I was four-year-old. My debut song Tishnagi was released in September 2020, though it was shot before the lockdown in March 2020," she added. Samikssha revealed that she is a big fan of Arijit Singh, and confessed that she would love to try her hands at playback singing in Bollywood too. She said, "Hopefully going to sing it one day," adding, "I practice singing regularly and do my morning riyaz. I have also made three major cover songs - Isharon Isharon Mein from Kashmir ki Kali, Jaan Nisaar from Kedarnath and Lae Dooba from Aiyaary- since the beginning of lockdown last year."

The young actress stressed that singing is one of the most accessible forms of entertainment, and added, "A lot of people, who enter into singing and are making their mark, actually do not care about competition."
 
She further said, "Music industry is going through a rapid transformation. Digitization and the Internet has changed the industry drastically. My mantra is to stay focused, keep upskilling and inventing stuff to stay ahead of competition."

Ask her about her upcoming project and she says, "Yes, my new song is about to release. I have finished the final schedule of my duet Jogan. It's a Punjabi Sufi song. More details will be out shortly," Samikssha said.
