The Kapil Sharma Show is one of the most viewed comedy shows on television not just in India but across the globe. The show is back on Sony TV with a new season and new actors after a short break. Kapil Sharma has made India laugh till the guts ache with his comic skills. Apart from comedy, Sharma is often seen singing on the show and getting appreciation for that. Now in the latest episode of the Indian Idol 13 judges panel, Kapil revealed that he was once rejected from Indian Idol. 

Yes, you read right!

Kapil Sharma who sings really well was not selected in the audition round of Indian Idol in the early days of his career.  The latest episode of the comedy show will be graced by Indian Idol 13 judges Neha Kakkar, Vishal Dadlani, and Himesh Reshammiya and contestants Vineet Singh, Rishi Singh, Navdeep Vadali, and Sanchari Sengupta. During the conversation, he mentioned that he used to participate in every reality show in the hope of getting selected. So, with that hope, he auditioned for Indian Idol, however, got rejected by judges. Later, he auditioned for Awaz Punjab Di, where fortunately he got selected.




Meanwhile, during that time only he auditioned for the comedy-based reality show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge and got shortlisted for that as well. He decided to go ahead with comedy, due to which he enjoys a massive fan following around the globe.

On the show, he said, “Honestly, I used to give auditions in all kinds of shows with the simple motivation that 'kahin na kahin toh ghuss hi jaunga' (I will get an entry somewhere). But I am extremely delighted to see how 'Indian Idol' judges are here as the guests of our show.” 

On the work front, the 41 year- old comedian will be seen in Zwigato, a film by Nandita Das.
