Dalljiet Kaur Files FIR Against Estranged Husband Nikhil Patel Over Cheating And Cruelty As He Arrives In Mumbai With Girlfriend Safeena Nazar

Actress Dalljiet Kaur recently made headlines by wishing her estranged husband Nikhil Patel on his birthday as he arrived in Mumbai with his girlfriend, Safeena Nazar. However, new developments have taken a serious turn. Reports indicate that Dalljiet has filed an FIR against Nikhil, accusing him of cruelty and cheating. According to Times Now, the FIR was filed on August 2 at Mumbai's Agripada Police Station. The charges fall under Section 85 and Section 316 (2) of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Section 85 involves a jail term of up to three years for subjecting a woman to cruelty by her husband or in-laws, while Section 316 (2) outlines punishment for cheating. Following the FIR, Dalljiet expressed her gratitude to the Mumbai Police on Instagram. She wrote, "Thank you Joint Commissioner of Police, Anil Paraskar, DCP Krishnakant Upadhyay, Senior Inspector Yogendra Pache, and investigating officer Sachin Shelke along with a lady constable, for your prompt response and efficiency. I was very nervous entering a police station, but your kindness and sensitive approach towards my plight was truly very touching. Thank you Agripada police station for letting a woman know that she is safe in this country." Dalljiet's tumultuous relationship with Nikhil began with a grand wedding in Mumbai in March 2023. She moved to Kenya with her son to live with Nikhil. However, within 10 months, their marriage fell apart, leading to a bitter divorce battle. Nikhil disowned Dalljiet, claiming their marriage was not legally recognized in Kenya. Dalljiet accused him of having an extramarital affair with Safeena Nazar and expressed anger over him removing her belongings from their house in Kenya before she could collect them.
The situation escalated on August 2 when Nikhil arrived in Mumbai with Safeena. Photos of the couple engaging in PDA circulated online, prompting Dalljiet to share a heartfelt note on social media. She expressed her anguish, stating she could no longer hold back her tears. This public display and subsequent legal action have brought the ongoing conflict between Dalljiet and Nikhil into the spotlight, highlighting the emotional and legal struggles she faces.
