Crime Patrol actor Shafique Ansari passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2020. The actor had been battling cancer for a few years and passed away in Mumbai yesterday. The demise of Bollywood actors Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor on April 29 and April 30 respectively was already a huge loss and the news of Shafique Ansari’s death is another heartbreaking update. The actor began his journey in the showbiz as an assistant director and writer, later on stepping into acting.
A source confirmed about Shafique Ansari’s demise with TellyChakkar yesterday, and said, “Shafique Ansari was suffering from stomach cancer for a few years and he lost the battle to the deadly disease today." Shafique Ansari was not only seen in Crime Patrol, but had also been a part of many films. He was also reportedly one of the screenwriters of Amitabh Bachchan starrer Baghban.
His fans, heartbroken by the news of his demise, took to their social media and mourned the loss. Shafique Ansari was a member of Cine and TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA), and mourning the demise, their post read, “#CINTAA expresses it's deepest condolence on the demise of Mr. Ansari Shafique (Member since : June 2008).”

Shafique Ansari had also worked as a writer for many films including Dost, Izzatdaar, Pratiggya, Dil Ka Heera, among others.
