CID Producer Pradeep Uppoor PASSES Away Due To Cancer; Veteran Actor Shivaji Satam Mourns The Loss Of His Dear Friend
Renowned television show CID’s producer Pradeep Uppoor left for his heavenly abode. On Monday, actor Shivaji Satam, who essayed the iconic role of ACP Pradhyman on the show, announced the sad news through a social media post. According to a report by India Today, the producer was ailing from cancer when he breathed his last. He passed away in Singapore. 

Taking to Instagram, Satam shared a collage picture of the late producer and mourned the loss of his dear friend. He wrote, “Pradeep Uppoor, (the maker, pillar of CID)….. an ever smiling dear friend, honest & upfront, magnanimously generous to the core..… a long long wonderful chapter of my life comes to an end with your exit Boss…love you & miss you buddy.”

Netizens and celebrities from the television industry took to the comment section of the post to share their condolences. Actor Narendra Gupta, who essayed the role of Dr Salunkhe, expressed how he had lost a part of him after knowing the shocking news of the producer’s departure. Chak De India fame Tanya Abrol wrote, “Even if I met him only a few times . This makes me sad to the core . May your journey ahead be peaceful Uppoor sir . Om shanti.”

For the unversed, Uppoor was a prominent name in the Indian television industry. He produced many off-beat shows like Aahat, CID, Supercops vs Supervillains, Satrangi Sasural and many other notable works. Talking about CID, the show premiered on television in January 1998 and aired its last episode in October 2018. 

His departure has left the television industry in deep shock.
