Chhavi Mittal SLAMS Caregivers For Using The Word ‘Bechara’ For Cancer Patients, Says, ‘Please Don’t Do That, They Are Strength Personified’
TV actress Chhavi Mittal has been very vocal about her breast cancer journey on social media. From her diagnosis, symptoms, and radiation therapy to the side-effects of the treatment, Chhavi has shared every minute detail of her cancer journey with her fans. It’s been three months since she underwent breast cancer surgery and she feels she still has a long way to go. On the completion of three months of her surgery, the actress penned an inspiring note where she urged caregivers not to use words like ‘bechara’ for cancer patients.

Taking to her Instagram handle, Mittal shared a beautiful photo of herself, posing near a fountain alongside a lengthy hard-hitting note. Sharing her picture, she wrote, “Today my heart beats fast as I complete 3 months since the breast cancer surgery. Extremely happy with the progress I’ve made, and patting my back for the positivity I continue to maintain. But mostly proud of the various things I’ve learnt about cancer first hand, and through the experience of my other fellow cancer brothers and sisters.” She added, “I’ve seen so many cancer patients heading to work straight after chemo, I did that everyday after radiation.. and I want to say, that I haven’t heard many patients talk about the positive experiences, but have heard so many care givers use words like “bechara” for cancer patients! Please don’t do that! They’re far from becharas, and are in fact strength personified!.” ALSO READ: Chhavi Mittal Gears Up For Radiotherapy Sessions After Breast Cancer Surgery, Actress Says, ‘I’m Feeling A Bundle Of Nerves’
