Chahatt Khanna To Eat ONLY One Meal A Day To Stand In Solidarity With Those Battling Poverty And Hunger
The Coronavirus pandemic is just not limited to disease. Every day, we are waking up to some of the other disturbing news of people suffering from poverty, hunger, financial crisis, unemployment and whatnot. Well, people who have the privilege are doing their level best in lending a helping hand to people in need. Something very similar is the case of TV actress Chahatt Khanna, who is out there showing her solidarity uniquely. In a conversation with Times, Khanna revealed how she has pledged to have only one meal a day to support those battling poverty and hunger. She feels it's a minimalistic approach but she aims to help those in need.

Chahatt said, "It’s all about taking the minimalist approach. As public figures, we can inspire others to follow the same. I am doing it because I believe that it can go a long way in helping the current situation. The virus is here to stay for some more time and soon, we might face a shortage of grains and grocery. There are millions who are sleeping hungry. So, if we eat a little less and pledge to support the ones in need, no one will go hungry. We have to work towards this as a nation, as no one should be left without food.”

The Bade Achhe Lagte Hain actress added that she is also going some social work side by side but isn't keen on talking about it. She urged people to do their bit and donate.

"I am doing my bit of social work, which I don’t want to talk about because I strongly believe in not speaking about the good deeds you do. However, I want to tell people, who are donating stuff to the needy, to add vitamin C and homoeopathy medicine along with the essentials, as they help build immunity. Also, do not forget that all lives are important, not just humans," concluded the actress.

Well, that's a noble gesture!
