During Bigg Boss 14 nominations, contestant Rahul Vaidya nominated Jaan Kumar Sanu. He said that he is nominating Jaan as he has not made it out on his own on the show. After Rahul’s nepotism remark, many housemates slammed him for bringing nepotism in the house. Now, during the Weekend Ka Vaar episode, Bigg Boss 14 host Salman Khan schooled Rahul Vaidya over nepotism remark. He reminds him of how Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar made it on their own without anyone in the industry.

In the latest episode of Bigg Boss 14, Salman Khan mentioned a few names from the Hindi film industry and gave out his opinion on a statement made by Rahul Vaidya. Salman shared an example of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, Sunny Deol, Rishi Kapoor who were launched by their father’s, but still managed to make it big in the industry as the audience likes to see them. The host then mentioned how Ajay Devgn’s father was an action director, who later became a director, and called him as one of today’s greatest stars.

Moving on, Salman Khan named his fellow actors Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar and spoke about their struggles. The host mentioned how SRK, who came from Delhi and Akshay had no connections in the industry when they entered. He then added, “mehnat ke dum par ye sab 20-30 saal tike hue hai they are here for such a long time because of their hard work." Salman also mentioned Jackie Shroff’s name and shared how he was spotted by late Dev Anand. The actor then said, “jisme wo baat hai wo chalega, aur jisme baat nahi hai wo apni khud ki tijori ghar ki tijori maata-pita ki tijori khaali karke jayega (one who possesses talent will sustain in the industry, and one who doesn’t will not.)"


Meanwhile, Salman Khan also narrated his own story and revealed how he also asked his father Salim Khan to recommend him to someone but shared how he refused. Salman added that he worked hard for himself so that he would get credits for his own work. The host also shared an example of a grocer who lets his son handle his shop and does not ask anybody else to do it for him. Later, Jaan also got emotional and thanked the host for everything.
