Bigg Boss 13: Shruti Seth Deletes Her Tweet Targeting Sidharth Shukla; Says, ‘Didn't Expect Such A Backlash’
TV actress Shruti Seth is making headlines for tweeting against Sidharth Shukla’s behaviour with Shehnaaz Gill. Soon after the video of Sidharth Shukla getting physically violent with his friend-turned-foe Shehnaaz Gill emerged on social media, a lot of users are expressing their exasperation by asking to ban Colors TV and the Bigg Boss show. Shruti too was one of the users who has had put a Tweet targeting Sidharth’s shocking behaviour. But unfortunately, the actress received backlash for ‘not knowing their relationship’ and targeting the actor. The actress received huge flak, so much so that she decided to delete the post.

Recently, when Shruti asked about receiving backlash for the same, she told IWMBuzz, “I am really amazed at the level of priorities in our nation. No one cared a fig about my other recent tweets on JNU kids being thrashed, except for four or five nasty comments calling me jobless, etc. But one post on a show that I don’t even watch has seen a torrent of attacks. I repeat I don’t watch this show, period. I just read disturbing posts from friends of what is generally going on in the house.” (ALSO READ: Bigg Boss 13 SHOCKER: Shehnaaz Gill's Father Says 'Mujhe Koi Aitraaz Nahin Hai' About Sidharth Shukla's Hostility Towards His Daughter!- EXCLUSIVE)
When asked about her tweet on Sidharth Shukla and the backlash she received for it. She said, “I just re-tweeted for a friend who requested support, saying such kind of stuff can’t go on national television. After seeing the ghastly clip, I too felt that such kind of toxic masculinity is not done. I did not expect such a backlash, with people asking me do I know the equation between Shehnaaz Gill and Shukla, and that she had hit him too. I have no clue who this guy is and what he has done. He might be a good guy, as his fans claim him to be.”
Further slamming Bigg Boss 13, Shruti said that she doesn’t care about the show as she has a bigger problem with voyeuristic TV per se, which allows you to show a man pushing a woman for ratings. She further stated that she doesn’t know who’s right and who’s wrong, “But is this what we want to watch?”

The actress, who will next be seen in Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming series on the Indian National Army, said that she had to delete the tweet as she could not take the barrage. Shruti also stated that these haters have followed her on Instagram as well.
