Bigg Boss 13 Re-Run Comes To An Abrupt End; Replaced By Dance Deewane In 3 Weeks Flat - No Takers?

As people are in self-isolation owing to the Coronavirus outbreak, many TV channels have decided to rerun their old hit shows again for the audience. Doordarshan started re-telecasting its iconic shows, leaving everyone overjoyed. Not just this channel, many other channels started doing the same as they have no new episodes to show during this lockdown. Speaking of which, Colors Channel also started with the rerun of Bigg Boss 13 which was considered to be one of the successful ventures of this season 13.
Hoping that the rerun of the show will boost their TRP, the makers abruptly ended the show and got it replaced with Dance Deewane in just three weeks flat. Why? Well, even though it enjoyed massive viewership back then, things are not the same this time around, claimed a source in Times Of India. The source said that the makers aired Bigg Boss as an experiment. Meanwhile, BT also spoke to some viewers about why Bigg Boss 13 hasn’t worked for them this time around.
The viewer told the portal that while it is entertaining otherwise, it’s not an ideal watch during the lockdown as the contestants somehow remind of your own situation. Another person told the portal said, “a show like Bigg Boss has a lot of intense and emotional moments, and given the current situation, it’s better to watch a light-hearted dance or music reality show instead.” While one more was quoted saying, "These days I like watching 'Ramayan' and 'Mahabharat'. We are all in a different state of mind right now."
