Bigg Boss 13: BJP MLA And UP Politico Demand A BAN On Salman Khan's Reality Show; Latter Goes On Hunger Strike
The troubles around Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 13 seems to be never-ending as after the Karni Sena and Trader’s Body, two politicians demand complete BAN on the show!
Gone are the days when Bigg Boss was famous for controversies that happened inside the house. The latest season of this Salman Khan show – Bigg Boss 13 – seems to have been caught into a mess that won’t calm down anytime soon. Well, it was only recently that the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) and Karni Sena requested Prakash Javadekar, Minister of Information and Broadcasting, to put a ban on the show by writing a letter to him. Now, jumping on to the bandwagon is a BJP MLA from Ghaziabad named Nand Kishore Gujjar, who has demanded to take Bigg Boss 13 off-air.
According to a report in IANS, the politician feels that Bigg Boss 13 “was promoting obscenity and vulgarity and was unfit for family viewing”. Just like the Twitter trolls, CAIT and Karni Sena, Nand Kishore Gujjar is against the bed-sharing concept between the male and female contestants, Hindu and Muslim to be precise.“The show is against the cultural ethos of the country and highly objectionable intimate scenes were a part of it. Couples of different communities were being made to become bed partners, which was unacceptable. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on one hand, is trying to make India regain its lost glory and, on the other, such shows were demeaning the country's culture," read his letter to the minister.
Meanwhile, the president of Uttar Pradesh Nav Nirman Sena – Amit Jani – has declared that he won’t consume any food grain till Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 13 isn’t stopped from airing. He said that he will survive on fruits and vegetables until the government bans Bigg Boss 13, a show which promotes vulgarity and is misleading the youth. He added that displaying of ‘young couples’ on one bed on national television is not acceptable.
