When did you come to know that Nimki Vidhayak is going off air?
We were informed by the production 2-3 days back.
Was it shocking?
More than being shocked, I was feeling emotional. It was heartbreaking to learn that this is our last month of shoot. This has become like my second family as we shoot with each other every day. Surely, parting ways is painful.
Nimki Mukhiya can be tagged as a game changer for you?
I had done shows before also but this was my first daily soap as a main lead. I have been so fortunate play this lively character which has all the shades. I would have not got better launch in the industry than this. I don't think itna accha character likha gaya hai ab tak industry mein and I am sure aage likha bhi nahi jaayega. It was not just a game changer for me but for the television industry too.
What kind of messages are you receiving from fans?
I never expected that this character will be so inspiring for so many people. Ever since the news has been out, I am flooded with messages where girls are telling me about their story of being in depression and battling with problems in their personal life and how this show has helped them to come out of it. It got tears in my eyes when I read that and felt in these 3 years, I have actually done something which is worth and a lot of credit for it goes to my writer.
Has Nimki become your identity now?
Absolutely and I feel blessed about it. Maine kabhi nahi socha tha this character will become a household name like Tulsi and Parvati. Today, wherever I go right from a mall to local markets, people come to me and say aap Nimki hai na? So it has become like an identity for me and I would keep it with me for forever.
How much are you going to miss becoming Nimki everyday?
Trust me Nimki and Bhumika are 89% same. It was just that I took little time to realise that she is me. In the beginning, I was taking it as a role but now I feel it's me only.
Who are you going to miss the most?
We all actors have already decided to be in touch and hang out together which we already do, as we all have become a family. But what I am going to miss the most is going on set every morning, doing makeup, my hair-dresser, my makeup artiste, my director, technical team- all the people who put so much of an effort to get things right onscreen and most importantly our spot dadas for their hard work. I am also going to miss my puppies on the set.
