Beyhadh 2: Jennifer Winget Objected To Shooting For OTT Platform, CONFIRMS Co-Star Paras Madaan
In his recent interview, Paras Madaan revealed that Jennifer Winget objected to shooting for Beyhadh 2 for web or else the show would have continued on OTT
Beyhadh franchise is one of the most successful ventures on TV. The first instalment starred Kushal Tandon and Jennifer Winget in the lead roles while the second instalment had Shivin Narang instead of Kushal. However, the makers had to pull the plug of Beyhadh 2 due to the pandemic. The audiences were mighty upset as Beyhadh 2 went off air soon after the Coronavirus situation hit the nation. Now, Paras Madaan who essayed a pivotal role in Beyhadh 2 has shared about the show making it to the web. He stated that had Jennifer Winget not refused to shoot for the web, Beyhadh 2 had been doing wonders on OTT platform.
To Times of India, Paras Madaan stated, "I am personally in favour of a TV show going on the web if it is doing good there. Had Jennifer not objected to Beyhadh 2 going on the web, we would have done wonders with the show." He further added, "Talking about my show going off air in the time of crisis, well, the show perhaps didn't do well because there were too many twists and turns and the main characters were being killed. The story changed a lot. We were getting a very high viewership on the web but not on TV. Had we been on the web, Beyhadh would have done really well. However, since Jennifer refused to shoot for the serial for the web, the show couldn't survive on TV. But I am thankful that the makers paid us on time despite the crisis situation."
Now the fans of this thriller franchise are desperately rooting for the third instalment. Will there be Beyhadh 3? You never know. (Also Read: Shivin Narang Celebrates Beyhadh 2’s One-Year-Anniversary; Says Even He Is In Love With His Character ‘Rudra’)
