Sudhanshu Pandey, the popular television actor best known for his role as Vanraj Shah in the hit TV show Anupamaa, has announced his departure from the series, much to the surprise of his fans. In a heartfelt Instagram Live session, where he connected with his 2.2 million followers, Sudhanshu shared the news, expressing his gratitude for the immense love and support he has received over the years while playing the character of Vanraj Shah. Reflecting on his four-year journey on Anupamaa, Sudhanshu acknowledged the mixed reactions his character evoked from the audience—ranging from admiration to resentment. He mentioned that even the anger directed at Vanraj was a form of love, showing that he had portrayed the character effectively. "For the last four years, I have been coming to your house every day through a daily soap, playing a character for which I have received a lot of love and resentment, but that resentment is also love in a way. If you had not been angry after seeing my character, I would have felt that I was not able to play it properly," he explained during the live session.
Sudhanshu went on to reveal the emotional difficulty of his decision, noting that he would no longer be part of the show from the Raksha Bandhan episode onwards. He felt it was his responsibility to inform his fans directly to avoid any misunderstandings. "I want to tell all of you with a heavy heart that I am now not a part of Anupamaa. I apologize for taking this sudden decision," he said, ensuring that his fans were aware of the change and expressing his deep appreciation for their unwavering support.
Beyond his acting career, Sudhanshu has also been exploring his passion for music, which he had previously put on hold to focus on acting. He recently released a single titled "Behisaba" and announced the reunion of his musical group, A Band Of Boys, with their new song "Gori Again." This move marks a significant shift in his career, as he steps away from acting to dedicate more time to his music—a passion he is excited to pursue further.
