Anupamaa SPOILER 22nd September 2023: Anuj Questions Malti Devi About Her Absence From His Life, Gives Anu An Ultimatum
Anupamaa’s upcoming episode will see Anuj refusing to accept Malti Devi as his mother because she left him at an orphanage and never tried to contact him

Star Plus’ television serial Anupamaa has been raking in all the love from the audiences ever since it started airing in 2020. Starring Rupali Ganguly, Sudhanshu Pandey, Madalsa Sharma, Apara Mehta and Gaurav Khanna, the show tops the BARC ratings every week. It enjoys a huge fan base on social media as well, however the ongoing track of the show has left the audience with mixed reactions. The drama in the serial is at an all time high as Anuj refuses to accept Malti Devi as his mother.
Today’s episode will start with Anu showing Anuj all the proofs she has received, cementing the fact that Malti Devi is indeed his mother. This leaves everyone shocked, as all the family members express their shock, Malti Devi bursts into tears. With Anuj yet to react, Anu expresses how the Malti Devi’s heart might have know that he was her son which is why she called him beta. Malti Devi confirms from Anu and Anuj is indeed her son. She touches his cheeks and calls him son a few times, which snaps Anuj out of his trance. Anuj goes on to refuse to accept Malti Devi as his mother. He states that a woman only becomes a mother when they accept and raise kids with love, not when they give birth. As Vanraj tries to console him and tells him to let her explain her side, Anuj asks her why she didn't ever contact him. He asks for justification to know why he was left within an orphanage for 8 years without any parental figures. This leaves Malti Devi stunned. He goes on to reveal how he has observed her as a mother who has loved even the kids who weren’t born from her. She gave equal love to Kinjal, Dimpy and Choti Anu when they needed it. Anuj starts getting worked up as he speaks about his lonely experience in the orphanage and Anu and Choti rush in to hug and console him. He declares that Malti Devi will never be his mother.
In the upcoming episode of the show, it will be seen that Anuj will give Anu an ultimatum. He will tell her that he won’t be staying with Malti Devi under one roof anymore. In the coming days, the show is yet to take another dark turn as it will be seen that the families are over the moon after Samar and Dimpy announce that they are pregnant. The men of the family go out to celebrate, however they return with Samar’s dead body leaving everyone devastated. Vanraj goes on to blame Anuj for Samar’s death.
