Starring Rupali Ganguly, Gaurav Khanna, Aurra Bhatnagar, Sudhanshu Pandey, and others, Anupamaa is one of the most-watched shows on Star Plus. Produced by Rajan Shahi, the serial has started receiving mixed reactions from viewers due to its repetitive and monotonous storyline. In the ongoing plot, it is seen that Shruti urges Anuj and Anu to get married, much to Aadhya’s dismay. It was also seen that Vanraj plans on breaking Dimpy and Tapish’s wedding by disclosing the latter’s secret and revealing that he lied about being an orphan.

In today’s episode, Sushma, Titu’s mother, confronts Vanraj and asks him why he brought her to the Shah house. He reveals that Titu is not an orphan and lied about his parents’ demise. Sushma tries to deny it, however, Titu steps forward and greets her. As the drama unfolds, Vanraj degrades Titu and his mother and terms them criminals, revealing that they murdered his father. Shocked, Anu and Dimpy persuade Tapish, so that he can tell the truth. Tapish reveals that his father was not a good guy. He would often get drunk and abuse his mother. One day when Tapish’s father was denied alcohol, he started beating Titu, and to save her son’s life, Sushma killed her husband. She surrendered herself to the police and asked Titu not to tell anyone about her. As Vanraj mocks him, Sushma tells Anu that every mother can sacrifice her life for her child and she did so by spending 15 years in jail. Sushma pleads with Dimpy to break her marriage with Tapish as he can’t live without her and Ansh. Vanraj asks her to leave their house and tells her that Dimpy and Tapish won't be getting married. In the upcoming episode it will be seen that, distraught with the revelations, Dimpy runs and locks herself in the room. Everyone rushes to persuade her when Vanraj scolds Tapish and tells him to leave the house. Tapish stubbornly tells him that he will not be going anywhere until Dimpy tells him to do so. Anu asks everyone to go out and let Dimpy be. While talking to Anu, Dimpy asks her if it is fine for her to be selfish and think about herself first. Anupamaa tells her that she should prioritise herself first. Dimpy comes out of the room along with Anu to tell everyone her decision.
