Anu Malik’s comeback on Indian Idol 11 has been met with severe backlash from many and the makers of the reality show must not have anticipated the backlash they would have to face after reinstating Anu Malik on the judging panel of the singing reality show. Sona Mohapatra has been miffed right from the beginning about Anu Malik’s comeback despite several #MeToo allegations leveled against him and has also slammed the channel for the same. Neha Bhasin, along with Sona also spoke up against this matter and amidst the uproar, there were several reports that suggested Anu Malik might step down as the judge.
Now, there has been an update and while talking to ETimes, Anu Malik has said that he is taking a break from Indian Idol 11 and that it is a voluntary decision. He added that he would return only after he has cleared his name. A few days ago, Anu Malik decided to break his silence and penned down a letter that said that he is being cornered and suffocated. He also mentioned that the false and unverified allegations were leveled against him to ruin his career and reputation. In response to this, Sona Mohapatra took to her social media once again and shared a long note taking a jibe at him for playing the victim card.
