After Deepika Padukone's Enouraging Words, Bigg Boss 13 Star Rashami Desai Opens Up On Depression, 'Entertainment Industry Does That To You'
Rashami Desai is known for her inspiring acting career and the milestones that she has accomplished. What we don't know is the struggle she has gone through and the hard times she has faced. In a live conversation with Alia Bhatt's sister, Shaheen Bhatt and Dr Harish Shetty, Rashami opened up about her anxiety, negative thoughts, body shaming, society's judgment, and social media trolling. She also pointed out how all these things were holding her back at one point and how now, she is standing tall again.

"The more depression is becoming common, the more people are unwilling to talk about it. Working in the entertainment industry does that to you a lot. It's rightly said to never judge a book by its cover, that we all are fighting our battles with a smile on our faces and losing hope and choosing the path of giving up, but all it takes to be happy is to fight and come back stronger" said the actress.

We all have some negative people around us, and Rashami talked about hers. People who used to make her doubt herself and used to make her feel less of a person, which ultimately led to a lack of confidence and self-belief. She also highlighted the advantage people take of social media and its reach by trolling others and neglecting the consequences of it to one's mental health. It is so true today it's all about memes and letting others down, and Rashami has also suffered because of that, but she didn't just talk about her fall but also shared her journey of rising backup, which is stimulating for us all.

Her mantra to deal with depression is something we should all learn. " I concentrate on my breathing. Oxygen to your body is the utmost important thing. It brings stability and calmness to you. Deep Breathing, and I feel like I can fight anything. (Sic)"

It is so true the wisest knowledge comes from those who have suffered. Rashami shared with us the most important thing depression has taught her, and it's inspiring, " I used to get judgemental about myself as I have been a little curvy I used to get conscious, but over the period I realised its okay to be fat or the way I want to be. It is okay if you fail now, you'll be fine next time. You just have to believe yourself and keep going. I am quite comfortable with myself now. And just remember, It's okay to be not okay."

It takes a lot of strength to come forward and talk about your weakness, low points, or insecurities in front of millions of people, and that shows the strength of Rashami Desai. More power to you.
