Once considered as the IT couple of the Hindi television industry, Aamir Ali and Sanjeeda Shaikh’s separation left their fans brokenhearted. Having racked in love from the audiences for her performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s first web series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, she has been opening up about her life, her divorce, and how it affected her personal life. In one of the recent interviews, she also opened up about how she lost many friends after her divorce. She wished them luck and expressed that she was happier without them.
Now, Ali has opened up about her statement and stated that he wasn’t aware of her comment. He added that he doesn’t know the motive behind her strong statement and that if the actress thought that someone was hindering her growth then she should do what she sees fit for herself. The F.I.R actor added, “Who am I to comment? I might have not been this understanding always, we all grow with time. People will think what they want to think. I never like to wash dirty linen in public. Whatever has happened, and people are talking about, it is between us. The 42-year-old actor shared that people will talk about certain aspects of their lives, so they should let them. Continuing his train of thought he stated that he likes to fight his own battles without letting anyone know about it. While talking about facing heartbreaks, he explained that he doesn’t believe in holding grudges. He stated, “I have never hated my ex-girlfriends. I think in life certain people are there with you for limited time. Spend good time, let the person be, and let go. If you will keep grudge, you will never heal. For those who don’t know, the ex-couple fell in love on the sets of Kya Dil Mein Hai. They tied the knot in 2012, after dating for a few years. They welcomed their daughter Ayra in 2018, via surrogacy. Aamir and Sanjeeda separated in 2020 and were officially divorced by 2021.
On the work front, Sanjeeda Shaikh was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. The makers of the show recently announced that Heeramandi has been renewed for another season. According to the filmmaker, the second season will follow the tawaifs journey in the Mumbai or Kolkata film industry after they leave Lahore, post-indepence.
