23-Year-Old Held For Sending Obscene Messages To TV Actress Sonarika Bhadoria

Sonarika Bhadoria, who is known for essaying the role of Parvati in the hit show, Devon Ke Dev Mahadev, got 23-year-old Swapnil Sahare arrested for sending her obscene messages over WhatsApp. It is reported that Swapnil, from Maharashtra's Naxalite area, Kurkheda, was harassing the actress for the past 7-8 months.

In fact, he had also threatened the actress to accept his marriage proposal failing which he will commit suicide. The case was registered in Kurar police Station by Sonarika in February.

Speaking to a leading daily, the actress said, “He was repeatedly messaging me and calling me since 7-8 months. I was fed up and scared by seeing his messages. When I blocked his number he used other numbers to contact me. He used at least 25 numbers to contact me. When I switched off my phone for few days, he started calling my relatives and father. Initially, I ignored but in February I approached the police and filed a complaint.”


According to police, Swapnil is a student of First-year Bachelors of Arts in Kurkheda's college and belongs to a poor family who had fallen in love with Bhadoria. He used a software to acquire her number and began contacting her.

"After registering the complaint we tracked him by using the tower location of Kurkheda. During interrogation he said he was in love with Bhadoria and wanted to marry her," said Suryakant Kharat, Assistant police Inspector of Kurar police Station.

The police has charged the accused with sections of Information Technology Act.

Reportedly, he was produced in court and remanded in police custody till May 1.
