Krissann Barretto attended Sushant Singh Rajput’s prayer meeting on his fourth death anniversary and grieved his death
Late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14, 2020, by suicide at his apartment in Mumbai. His untimely demise left his family, friends, and admirers brokenhearted. His death opened a whole can of worms with the practice of nepotism in the entertainment industry and their consumption of drugs taking center stage. On the occasion of his fourth death anniversary, his sister Shweta Singh Kirti hosted a pooja and a prayer meeting in his memory. Actress Krissann Barretto, who has made a name for herself in the Hindi television industry burst out in tears in his remembrance.
Dressed in white, Krissann attended the prayer meet and cried inconsolably while reminiscing about SSR. In the video shared by Instant Bollywood on Instagram, she expresses how he didn’t deserve it and how he was child-like, exuding happiness for every small thing. She is heard saying, “He doesn't deserve this at all. Woh bacche ki tarah tha. He was so happy about small things like sunrises and sunsets. For the unversed, after the Sonchiriya actor’s demise, she had alleged that he started to distance himself from his friends after being in a relationship with his then-girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty. She commented about the same on a video of the Sonali Cable actress, shared by paparazzo Viral Bhayani. Quoted by the Free Press Journal, she commented, “After he started dating this female he was not allowed to be in touch with any of us All of his friends !! His numbers were changed and we all know that ! We all tried reaching him but we could not ! The statement from his dad says she didn't even let him talk to his family! @rhea_chakraborty yes the truth will be out we will make sure ! Satyamev jayate back at you!” Krissann claimed that she had last met SSR in April 2019. For the unversed, Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging in his apartment, in June 2020. His then-girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty came under the scanner as she and her brother, Showik Chakraborty, were accused of abetting his suicide. SSR’s case is being probed by CBI but no closure report has been filed yet. Having made a name for himself in Bollywood with his debut movie Kai Po Che!, he became a household name as he starred in the television serial Pavitra Rishta opposite Ankita Lokhande.
