Vetri Maaran's Assistant Director And Actor Saran Raj PASSES AWAY In A Fatal Car Accident After Sustaining Major Injuries-Reports
According to the latest media reports, director Vetri Maaran's assistant director and supporting actor Saran Raj passed away on June 8 in a fatal car accident. The accident took place at around 11.30 pm in KK Nagar. A supporting actor Palaniappan rammed his car into Saran Raj's bike and the latter died on the spot following major injuries. More information is awaited on the same as police is investigating the case.  

As reported by India Today, Saran suffered grievous injuries in the accident and died before he was rushed to the hospital. It is being reported that Palaniappan was driving the car under the influence of alcohol. For the unversed, Vetri Maaran is one of the most popular and leading filmmakers in the country. And, Saran has worked with him as an assistant director in his celebrated film Vada Chennai. He also played supporting roles in Vada Chennai and Asuran.



Saran Raj, who lived in Dhanalakshmi Street in Maduravoyal, was travelling in Arcot Road in KK Nagar at 11.30 pm when he met with a car accident. The late actor’s mortal remains have been sent for post-mortem. A case has been registered and the investigation is underway. 

Reportedly, it is found that Palaniappan from Saligramam was the reason behind the accident as he was drunk. He has been arrested by Police. The tragic news of Saran Raj’s death has left the entire South film fraternity shocked as rich tributes are pouring in for the actor on social media.
