This Is Not Done: Chiranjeevi Faces Backlash For Pushing Away A Fan Who Tried To Click A Selfie At The Airport – WATCH VIRAL VIDEO
After Nagarjuna and Dhanush, Chiranjeevi is now under scrutiny for a video taken at the airport. The actor has faced criticism for pushing a fan who was trying to take a selfie with him. While many of his fans have defended him, the incident has sparked a heated debate online. In the widely shared video, Chiranjeevi and his wife, Surekha, are seen stepping out of a lift at the airport, accompanied by ground personnel. An IndiGo Airlines employee approaches Chiranjeevi for a selfie, but the actor ignores him. When the man persists and stands in his way, Chiranjeevi nudges him aside and continues on his way. The internet was divided over Chiranjeevi's actions. Some were upset that he didn't stop for a selfie, while others felt that no one is entitled to demand such attention. A fan criticized Chiranjeevi’s behavior, calling it rude, while another justified his actions by saying that the ground staff had asked the man to step aside. They argued that it was inappropriate for the man to approach Chiranjeevi after a long flight, especially when he was with his family. ALSO READ: WOW! One user wrote, “Just because we like him we can’t justify it,” while another commented on the luxuries afforded to celebrities, noting that Chiranjeevi likely traveled in business or first class or even by chartered flight, unlike the average person. Another user expressed disappointment, stating, "This is not done, such behavior from a superstar." This incident is not isolated. Recently, Nagarjuna faced backlash when his bodyguard pushed a specially-abled fan out of the way at the airport. The video went viral, and Nagarjuna apologized, explaining that he didn’t see what had happened. He later met the fan and took a selfie with him, admitting that the situation was his responsibility. Dhanush, who was also present at the airport with Nagarjuna, was criticized for not reacting to the incident, though he never issued a statement.

Chiranjeevi recently attended the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympics in Paris with his family, including Ram Charan, Upasana, Klin Kaara, and Surekha. On the professional front, Chiranjeevi was last seen in the 2023 film "Bhola Shankar," which did not perform well at the box office. He is set to appear in Malladi Vassishta's "Vishwambhara," a socio-fantasy film that will also mark Trisha Krishnan's return to Telugu cinema as his co-star. This incident has brought to light the challenges celebrities face in balancing public expectations and personal boundaries. The debate continues, with some arguing for respect for personal space, while others believe that celebrities owe a degree of accessibility to their fans.
