Salaar is undoubtedly one of the anticipated films of 2023, helmed by Prashanth Neel, the film releases today worldwide. According to reports from News18 and Zee News, Prabhas is set to pocket Rs 100 crore for portraying the lead role in Salaar, along with an additional 10% from the film's profits. India Today indicates that the movie's budget stands at Rs 400 crore, showcasing the substantial investment made in the creation of this grand movie. Reportedly, Prithviraj Sukumaran is charging a fee of Rs 4 crore for his role in Salaar, while Shruti Haasan reportedly earned Rs 8 crore for her portrayal of the female lead. Jagapathi Babu's role in the film reportedly comes with a fee of Rs 4 crore, according to Zee News. Additionally, director Prashanth Neel is said to have received Rs 50 crore for steering the project.
Salaar delves into the intense narrative of the power struggle within the city of Khansaar. Alongside the main cast, the movie showcases Bobby Simha, Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy, and Ramachandra Raju in significant roles. The film clashes with Shah Rukh Khan-Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki at the box office.
As per Sacnilk, Salaar has witnessed an impressive sale of 6,78,292 tickets on its opening day across all languages. Notably, the film has amassed a remarkable Rs 14.88 crore solely through advance bookings. Prabhas's movie was pre-booked extensively in various Indian states such as Odisha, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and Chhattisgarh.
