Fans of Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna have been eagerly anticipating the release of their highly awaited film, Pushpa 2: The Rule. However, on Monday, it was announced that the film's release date has been postponed to December 6th, 2024. Initially set to premiere on August 15th, this delay has left fans deeply disappointed, with some even threatening legal action against the filmmakers. One frustrated user on X wrote, "The movie was released in June 2024. Why this has been shifted to Dec 2024. Is this a joke to the filmmakers? Playing with the emotions of the audience. On behalf of the Pushpa Community, I will file a case in Court to release it ASAP." Another fan added, "Oh god, why you reschedule? How many times are you rescheduling #Pushpa2TheRule? This is unfair." A third user expressed their frustration, “We waited so long for #Pushpa2, and now this! Unacceptable. Do you know what this means for us? We were counting days. Please reconsider.”

The filmmakers released a note explaining the reason behind the change. They cited the need for additional shooting and subsequent post-production work as the primary causes for the delay. Despite the disappointment, this explanation aimed to assure fans that the team is working hard to deliver a film that meets their high expectations.




Pushpa 2: The Rule is directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers. The film will see Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna reprising their roles alongside Fahadh Faasil, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Rao Ramesh, Ajay, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Dhananjaya, Shanmukh, and Ajay Ghosh, who will also be returning from the first part.
