Veteran Telugu actor Nandamuri Balakrishna, also lovingly known as Balayya, has made a name for himself in the industry with his versatile performances. His evergrowing fan base often shower him with love and adoration. However a certain section of the internet often calls him out for his ‘disrespectful behaviour’ towards his fans and female co-stars. The actor recently attended the Gangs of Godavari event where he was caught pushing actress Anjali, the lead of the film, forcefully which lead her to lose her balance. The viral video has caused an outrage on social media.
On Wednesday, a netizen took to the subreddit Tollywood and shared the video with the caption, “Balakrishna pushed away Anjali.” Balakrishna reportedly attended the pre-release event as a chief guest. The movie co-stars Vishwak Sen and Neha Shetty. In the video, Balayya pushes Anjali away, while on the stage, after she fails to hear him. Shocked by the sudden reaction from the veteran actor, Neha hold Anjali, who stumbles due to the force. Brushing off the incident, the actress laughs it off.
As soon as the video went viral on social media, netizens rushed to the comment section of the post to slam the 63-year-old star for his rude behaviour. One wrote, “It’s been known that balakrishna is a rude, drunken pervert. Yet these idiots hype him up by calling him ballayya and shit.” Another wrote, “Slurring out nonsense, cursing and slapping his fans is bad, but actually manhandling a woman is pathetic. This does it for me. Didn't mind his antics both on and off screen earlier, but this does it.” One commented, “Look how only the other woman there tried to even help Anjali, but none of the men even blinked an eye. Some pieces of shit in the back were even laughing. Like, how can you be so shameless?”
For the unversed, Anjali has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry with her powerful performances. She has given several performance-oriented roles in Tamil and Telugu films like Angaadi Theru, Geethanjali, Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, and many others.
