Jr NTR’s Savage Response To Trollers Making Fun Of His ‘Fake American Accent’; Says, ‘We Are Just Divided By Time Zones’
Jr NTR opens up about being trolled for faking his American accent, during the interaction at Golden Globes 2023
RRR star Jr NTR has been receiving accolades from all over the world for his performance in the SS Rajamouli directorial. While the movie has been winning big at the International award shows in the United States, the actor who essayed the role of Komaram Bheem, has been on the receiving end of trolling for faking his American accent while talking to media publications abroad.
Addressing the same, during an interview with the LA Times, the 39-year-old actor expressed how even though actors are divided by time zones they face the same thing. He said, “We are just divided by time zones and a little bit of an accent. Other than that, what an actor goes through in the West is exactly the same process as in the East.” ALSO READ: Jr NTR Recalls Shooting For RRR With Ram Charan: SS Rajamouli Wanted Us To Hate Each Other, We Were Tortured For 65 Nights
During the same interaction, he also spoke about RRR’s tickets selling at the iconic IMAX theatre in just 98 seconds. Making a comparison to cooking Maggi, Tarak said, “This was faster than cooking Maggi. That’s the fastest food you can actually cook back in India!”
The actor also heaped praises on Rajamouli's filmmaking skills. He said, “I always felt this man (SS Rajamouli) was not destined to make only films in Telugu or in India. He is one of those rare phenomena who can travel the globe with his films. With each film, he’s only gotten better. I feel that RRR was his plan of taking the West. What makes us very proud is that a small industry from South India, Tollywood, and one movie called ‘RRR’ could open the gates to global cinema and bring us here.”
For the unversed, RRR is in the final nominations list at the Academy Awards 2023. The movie won an award for Best Original song category for Naatu Naatu at Golden Globes 2023 and won the ‘Best Foreign Language Film’ award at the 28th Critics’ Choice Awards in Los Angeles.
