From Prabhas's Radhe Shyam To Allu Arjun's Pushpa, Here's A List Of The Year's 10 Most Awaited Films
With a quarter of the year gone, Bollywood will witness the return of some big movies like 83, RRR, and others back on the big screen and small screen.
With more than half a year to go the fans of B-Town can look forward to some of the biggest blockbusters of the year which will be releasing shortly. Here is a list of the year's 10 much-awaited upcoming films:-
Radhe Shyam
Featuring India's biggest Pan-India star Prabhas, the movie makes number 1 on any given list. It features Prabhas returning to the romantic genre after a decade and will be seen in an old-school lover boy avatar which has got fans all excited and can't wait to see him as Vikramaditya. He is paired with actress Pooja Hegde and is produced by UV Creations and T-Series the movie is helmed by Radha Krishna Kumar.
Radhe
The film features Salman Khan, Randeep Hooda, Disha Patani, and Jackie Shroff in pivotal roles. Radhe has been directed by Prabhudeva and the movie marks Salman's return as his favorite character Radhe which is the titular role. The film is produced by Salman Khan, Sohail Khan, and Atul Agnihotri. Two songs from the movie having already been released, the fans have been waiting for the release impatiently.
Pushpa
Allu Arjun's next Pushpa is an action thriller film written and directed by Sukumar. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil who is making his Telugu debut. It is scheduled to release on 13 August 2021, in Telugu along with dubbed versions in Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada languages.
Acharya
Acharya starring Chiranjeevi, Kajal Aggarwal, Ram Charan, and Pooja Hegde was scheduled to be released on 13 May 2021, however, due to the covid situation, the film has been postponed. Directed by Koratala Siva the film is an action drama. It also marks the first film of father-son duo Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan.
'83
One of the biggest names on the list is the movie which follows the journey of Indian cricketer’s story from 1983. Based on the World Cup-winning team of India, the movie features Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone as lead casts amongst a whole host of other actors. The movie is directed by Kabir Khan and jointly produced by himself, Vishnuvardhan Induri, Deepika Padukone, and Sajid Nadiadwala.
Annaatthe
Superstar Rajnikanth's highly-anticipated film Annaatthe is slated to release on Diwali, November 4, 2021. Directed by Siva, the film also stars Nayanthara and Keerthy Suresh in pivotal roles.
Liger
The film is Telugu star Vijay Deverakonda's much-awaited Bollywood debut of, Liger will be released in five languages. The film, which co-stars Ananya Pandey, has been directed by Puri Jagannadh and will release on September 9, 2021.
KGF 2
Featuring as the only sequel on the list is Chapter 2 in the KGF series. With part 1 being a superhit, Yash returns to continue the story of Kolar Goldfields, and this time he is joined by Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon in pivotal roles. The period action film is written and directed by Prashanth Neel, and produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner of Hombale Films.
Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea
Set in the 16th-century Mohanlal's Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea is directed by Priyadarshan. It is the most expensive Malayalam film ever made. It was originally scheduled to release on 26 March 2020, in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi languages. However, the release was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now it is scheduled for theatrical release on 12 August 2021.
RRR
Produced by DVV Danayya, The SS Rajamouli helmed ensemble cast starrer is set to release in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, and several other Indian languages. The movie features the likes of seasoned actors like Ram Charan and Jr. NTR in lead roles with Ajab Devgn and Alia Bhatt joining the projects in supporting roles among many others. The fans have been treated with poster releases and character reveals which has got the fans pumped up.
With each film being bigger and better than the other one the list is surely set to leave the audiences wanting for more with the second half of 2021 bringing some really big hits to the big screens.
