Akhil Akkineni might be devastated by his latest release Agent, which was released on April 28, as the film couldn’t stand up to his fans’ expectations. The film failed miserably at the box-office and it opened up a Pandora’s box of bad reviews from the audience and critics as well.
The film merely managed to collect only Rs 7 crore on its opening day. Now, one of the producers has taken the blame for the film’s release and issued an apology to the fans.
Taking to his social media handle, Anil Sunkara, one of the producers of Agent, took to his official handle and apologized to the fans for the film’s failure. The producer tweeted “We have to take the entire blame for #Agent. Though we know its an uphill task, we thought of conquering but failed to do so as we did a blunder starting the project without a bound script & innumerable issues including covid followed.”

The producer further added, “We don't want to give any excuses but learn from this costly mistake and see how we can turn around to make sure, we will never repeat the mistakes. Our sincere apologies to all those who put trust on us. We will make it up for the losses with dedicated planning & hard work in our future projects.”
