Tamil actor Pradeep K Vijayan has left for his heavenly abode. On Wednesday, he was found dead at his residence in Chennai. He made a name for himself in the entertainment industry with his versatile performances. Having left everyone in awe of his performance in movies like Thegidi and Hey Sinamika, fans were looking forward to his upcoming projects. The news of his sudden passing has left everyone shocked and brokenhearted. As reported by the Free Press Journal, he was found with a head injury in the bathroom of his residence.

The report states that his cause of death is currently being investigated by the police. The media publication stated that Pradeep’s friend had tried to contact him, but all his calls went unanswered. When he went to check on him at his apartment, where he lived alone, Vijayan didn’t open the door despite several knocks. Worried about him, the friend called the police. The latter found him passed out after they broke down the door. His body has been sent for a postmortem to a government hospital. It is to be noted, that he was unmarried and lived alone at the Sankarapuram First Street in Palavakkam, South Chennai.


The news of his sudden death has left his admirers and industry friends brokenhearted. Many took to social media to offer their condolences and express their shock and grief. Singer-actor Soundarya Bala Nandakumar took to her X (formerly known as X) handle and wrote, “Ok this is coming as a shocker. Was very fond of him as a brother. No we never used to talk everyday but whenever once in a blue moon we spoke affection was very much intact. You will be terribly missed Pradeep K Vijayan anna. May your soul rest in peace.”

Popularly known as Pradeep Nair Pappu, the actor was reportedly a tech graduate. He stepped in the entertainment industry because of his passion for acting. Popularly known as Pradeep Nair Pappu, he made his debut with Sonna Puriyathu (2013). He became a household name after he essayed the role of Poornachandran in Thegidi. Last seen in Rudhran (2023) along side Raghava Lawrence, he had a role in Vijay Sethupathi and Anurag Kashyap starrer Maharaja. The film is set to release on June 14.
