Not Shahid Kapoor But Tamil Actor Vijay Sethupathi Gets Paid More For Digital Debut With Amazon Prime Original's Sunny - Report
Popular Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi who is all set to mark his digital debut with Amazon Prime Original series titled Sunny to be helmed by Raj and DK, has charged a big amount as compared to Shahid Kapoor. As per reports in Bollywood Hungama, the actor has charged Rs. 55 crores whereas Shahid Kapoor has charged Rs. 40 crores. The Kabir Singh actor also has a clause in his contract that if the show makers plan for a second season, he shall hike the fees, unlike Vijay who has not added any such clause.

The source of the said publication informed, “Shahid asked for a hefty Rs. 40 crores plus for the whole season and his contract also mentions a hike in his remuneration if the show gets renewed for another season. The plan is to make it into three seasons as of now. Vijay, on the other hand, has not put a clause like that but straight away asked for a sum of around Rs. 55 crores.”

The source further added though the actors play equally important roles in the web series, but keeping in mind Vijay’s stardom in the South market, he was signed for a bigger amount. The source informed, “Both of them have roles that are on equal footing but Vijay is undoubtedly a mega star from South and the makers agreed on the deal. He is getting a much bigger sum compared to Shahid but unlike Shahid, his contract has no mention of any hike for the second season.”
