Jai Bhim: Prakash Raj Lands Himself Into Trouble After A Video Of Him Slapping A Man For Speaking 'HINDI' In The Tamil Film Goes Viral
TJ Gnanavel's Jai Bhim has been trending on Twitter after a scene from the movie starring actor Prakash Raj went viral. The clip shows Prakash Raj's character slapping a man for 'speaking in Hindi'. He then tells him to speak in Tamil. Netizens are not happy and are slamming the makers of the film right, left and center.

Some Twitter users said that the scene wasn't really needed in the film. A Twitter user wrote, "Don't forget the Tilak and that too in vertical position, because in Tamil Nadu normally people use moon shape Tika or kumkum, this detail is important to show the guy who got slap is North Indian. This is an intentional act to show hatred against hindi people." "Isn't it blatant hypocrisy. Why is it so that they cannot stand Hindi, but we are supposed to be welcoming of other religions," wrote another. Some users also came out in support of the actor and said that the scene was incorporated as a strategy to catch-hold of the culprit who tries to get away knowing that Prakash Raj's character doesn't understand Hindi.

A Twitter user commented, "He was an accused and he knows Tamil very well but just to escape from police (Prakash Raj) he starts talking in Hindi. Without knowing the context of the scene don't spit venom. Just see how speaks well in Tamil after getting slapped, the movie was abt a real life story not ur PR."

'Jai Bhim' is produced by 2D Entertainment. It also stars Suriya Rajisha Vijayan, Lijomol Jose, K. Manikandhan and Rao Ramesh. The movie premiered on Amazon Prime Video on November 2, 2021.
