A police officer from Kerala namely Sajan Prakash has become the first Indian swimmer to reach a goal of the Olympic ‘A’ qualification. This undoubtedly qualifies him for the Tokyo Olympics. Sajan achieved the goal in an impressive timing of 1:56.38 in the 200-meter butterfly event in Rome at the Setti Colli Trophy.
The veteran actor Mohan Lal took to his Twitter handles and wished the cop. He wrote a very emotional congratulatory note to Sajan that reads – “Congratulations Sajan Prakash, on becoming the first Indian swimmer to attain the 'A' standard qualification in the Olympics. The fact that you hail from Kerala is yet another reason to take pride in this achievement. Addressing a media, Sajan Prakash gives the credit to his coach Pradeep Kumar for his success in qualifying for Tokyo Olympics. He also added that his coach was his anchor and that it was his training sessions with his coach that helped him qualify for the Olympics.
