Kerala High Court postpones the anticipatory bail plea hearing of Malayalam Actor Dileep to January 21
The latest update in the Malayalam actor Dileep assault and kidnapping case is out. As per reports in IANS, the Kerala High Court on Tuesday declared the actor-filmmaker anticipatory bail plea in the abduction case to be heard on January 21, 2022. During today’s hearing, the prosecution asked for more time to have a thorough probe in this matter. This decision was made after fresh development in the case were observed, posted by the Kerala HC on Friday.
This is the third instance when the Kerala High Court has pushed ahead the bail plea hearing in the actor’s case. The major factor compelling the court to arrive at this decision is the fresh development in the case. Also, the actor has heaved a sigh of relief, as the Kerala HC had announced no arrest for the actor till then. On Monday, the court reportedly allowed the prosecution to revisit the three, and also summoned the five new witnesses in this case.
Getting in a new twist to the case was film director Balachandra Kumar recent statement. The film director revealed after the accused was released on bail, he saw the visuals of the assault –kidnap case he is accused of. He also witnessed the victim i.e. the South Indian actress being tortured physically after being kidnapped. Till then the court proceedings were taking place smoothly. Balachandra Kumar also made a series of more revelations in front of the cops and magistrate.
Dileep was arrested in 2017 after a case of sexual assault and kidnapping was filed against him, he remained in jail for two months, following which he was released on bail.
