Koottickal Jayachandran Booked For Sexually Assaulting A 4-Year-Old Girl; Drishyam Actor Yet To React To The Accusations- REPORTS
Koottickal Jayachandran was accused of sexually assaulting a minor girl by reportedly taking advantage of an ongoing family dispute
Actor Koottickal Jayachandran made a name for himself in the Malayalam industry with his versatile performances. Having started his journey as a mimicry artist and television presenter, he left a lasting impression on the audience. As reported by the Free Press Journal, he has been accused of sexually assaulting a minor in Kozhikode, Kerala. The actor, who impressed everyone with his performance in Drishyam, has been booked by the local police.
As per the media reports, Jayachandran sexually assaulted a 4-year-old child. The complaint by the parents states that he did it by taking advantage of an ongoing family dispute. Reports suggest that based on the complaint filed by the minor child’s mother, he has been booked by the Kasaba police under the Protection Of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act). FPJ reports, that the mother in her complaint explained that he took advantage of a dispute within the family to molest her 4-year-old daughter.
The Kasaba police visited the complainant’s residence, after taking note of the complaint, to record the statement of the minor child at the direction of the District Child Protection Unit. It is to be noted that the accused has yet to issue an official statement on the matter. The officials have launched an investigation. The actor is yet to be arrested. FPJ, in its report, states that the police officials refused to share more details about the case because a minor is involved.

He went on to become one of the most sought-after television presenters with shows like Jagathy vs Jagathy and Comedy Time. Apart from playing a pivotal role in Mohanlal starrer Drishyam, he has also worked in hit films like Njaan, Oru Second Class Yathra, Lakshyam, Naradhan, My Boss, Detective, and many others.
